Summer Camps
The Music Academy All-State Choir Camps!
The music academy is now offering Texas All-State choir camps at two locations this summer:
- ØCelina, Texas @ Celina High School July 22nd-27th
- ØCorinth, Texas @ Lake Dallas High School August 5th-10th
FAQ's
1) What is the cost?
-The total cost for the camp is $225. This includes tuition, the entire all-state music packet and a practice CD.
2) When is money due?
-A $100 deposit is due as soon as possible to hold you student's place. This is meant to be a small camp so there is limited space available. After the $100 deposit is paid the rest of the tuition can be paid in any amount at any time that works for you. The last day to make the final payment is the first day of the camp.
3) When are the camps held?
-Each camp will be held Monday-Friday 9am-1230 with a clinic and concert to be held on Saturday.
4) What makes this camp a better choice for my student?
-These camps are designed to be small. The other camps in the area are huge, we offer much more individual attention.
-The price is much less than any other camps in the area.
-We offer one on one sight reading training! Your student WILL NOT get this practice in their choir or at any other camp. The entire audition process will be individual, so your student will have to sight read by themselves. Having the individual attention and sight reading tips should make them more comfortable sight reading which usually leads to higher over-all scores.
-Our instructors are all former UNT Voice students who have been through this process themselves and can offer a unique perspective.
-We're in your community. We're bringing the camp to your student. It will be held at a school close to where you live which will save time and money commuting with the security of having you child in a school environment they are fairly familiar with.
